You and your family will make lasting memories as you spend time fishing, playing games, or relaxing by one of our 3 fireplaces. You'll see deer, eagles, and more as you are out for walks, gliding across the water in our kayaks, or sipping your morning coffee in the southwest facing property.

Upper Turtle Lake is 427 acres of recreational fun, including good fishing--panfish, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Largemouth Bass are common. You will love catching panfish off the dock or ice fishing in the winter.

The Lookout is perfect for families, work or church retreats, girls getaway trips, or anyone who want to get away from it all and enjoy nature. We look forward to hosting you as you relax in our home and enjoy the amenities you will find in the Turtle Lake area.

Turtle Lake is an easy 90 minute drive from the Twin Cities and 75 minutes from Eau Claire. You will enjoy the many lakes, walking and biking trails, ATV and snowmobile trails, and small town charm that Turtle Lake and the surrounding area has to offer!

This exceptional 4,000+ square foot custom log home is nestled on 4.2 wooded acres and 290 feet of lake frontage on beautiful Upper Turtle Lake! Commanding water views from almost every window as well as the oversized wrap around deck. We are located on a long shared private driveway with only one other home close by - you will love the privacy and quiet that the Lookout offers!

Families Welcome

We are a family friendly 4 bedroom home and welcome children! Kids will enjoy exploring the property outside and using our game room complete with arcade game and foosball. Our home is spacious and you will find there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Here's how our cabin is laid out:

MAIN FLOOR

The main floor gathering room features a large stone wood burning fireplace with open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, and dining. Three bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the main floor. Wrap around deck is accessed from the main floor. Enjoy views of the lake from the main floor!

UPSTAIRS

Upstairs features a reading nook, a loft, a bedroom (queen) with a gas fireplace and balcony, a full bathroom and two walk-in closets.

LOWER LEVEL

The lower level features a gas fireplace, family room with game table and dart board, a TV area with ample seating, laundry room, foosball, arcade, and a half bathroom. Lower level walks out to the yard with a lake view patio below the deck.

Board games and puzzles are available for your enjoyment. Hi-def smart television with Netflix and other streaming services available for you to log in to your account via our Amazon fire stick. DVD player with DVD's available for use. Unlimited high speed internet.

Bedding and towels are provided. Lake towels are not provided.

Fully stocked kitchen including 2 coffee makers and coffee grinder, skillet, crockpots, waffle maker, and more.

KIDS

High chair, booster seat, pack 'n' play, and accessories (toys, dinnerware, etc) available.

FIREPLACES

Two gas fireplaces, one wood. Please bring your own local firewood.

OUTSIDE

Wrap around porch with gas grill, Weber lump charcoal bullet smoker, and multiple seating areas.

Four outdoor fire pits available for use. A spacious, level yard is available for yard games, kids to play in, etc.

We are located on a long, private, dirt driveway. Four wheel drive vehicles are recommended in the winter months. There are a substantial number of steps to the lake.

OUTDOOR SUMMER RECREATION

On site: Dock, two kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fishing (from dock or with your own boat), some fishing equipment may be available. Multiple fire pits.
Off site: Multiple regional trails for ATV's, bikes or hiking, multiple lakes for fishing and water sports.

OUTDOOR WINTER RECREATION

On site: Sleds, one pair women's and one pair men's cross country skis, three adult and one kid set of snowshoes ice fishing (some equipment available for use but feel free to bring your own).
Off site: Multiple regional trails for cross country skiing and snowmobiling (plenty of space to park your snowmobile trailer), multiple lakes for ice fishing.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

Foosball, dart board, arcade, games, puzzles, game table, television with streaming services, DVDs, unlimited hi-speed wifi, fireplace.

UPPER TURTLE LAKE

Public boat access. You may use our dock for docking your boat but please note, the pontoon is not for guest use. Our driveway is long and narrow so bringing a boat in or out may require expert driving skills.

PLEASE NOTE: There are a substantial number of stairs down to the lake. There is also a walking path that zig zags down the hill. Be mindful of this when booking.
